Our latest Hurdle update expands its use with a new session type (Demonstration Only), and makes the existing practice-led session easier to navigate for trainers with Learners in separate windows. Administration has also been improved with the ability to save session views and add custom information to joining instruction emails and much more.
This article has been created to help you quickly get up to speed with the changes. Additionally, it is important to the hurdle team that we give you an insight in to why these changes have been made, so we have included this where possible.

Miscellaneous administration changes

- Remove attendees after a session has finished – It is now possible to remove learners or trainers from the attendance list after a session has finished.
- Course Site – Site Description – The main description field for Course Sites now supports additional formatting, including rich text, links and external videos.
- Lab History – Customers using labs now have access to a new Lab History tab, which provides details of the lab nodes assigned to each user during a training session. The Lab History tab is available within the Edit Session screen and within the setup screens for Labs and Bridges. This provides improved visibility for customers using Hurdle labs.
- Enforce 2FA at team level – Team leads can now enforce Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for all team members via the team settings. Learn more here >> How Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) Works in Hurdle
Changes to pre-registered learners
- Pre-session reminder email – An automated reminder email will now be sent to all pre-registered learners before the session. The email will be sent at least one day before the scheduled session start time.
- Learner self-unregistration – Pre-registered learners will now see a link within their session join instructions email, allowing them to unregister from the session.
- Only allow registered learners to join – A new setting is available within the session settings that prevents learners from joining a session unless they have been pre-registered to attend. This gives trainers and team leads greater control over who can access a session.
